Non-Goals

Alloy should not:

  1. Replace Foundry as the engineering workflow runtime.
  2. Replace Epilogue Tracker as the product intent system.
  3. Replace a design intent system.
  4. Become a general-purpose project-management or ticketing tool.
  5. Become Jira with engineering-sounding nouns.
  6. Become a static ADR repository where records are written once and forgotten.
  7. Treat principles as commandments without tradeoffs.
  8. Automatically accept codebase inferences without human validation.
  9. Force every development team into the same architecture.
  10. Encode all knowledge into CHARTER.md; repo-local documents should be projections of the intent graph, not necessarily the canonical store.
